Martin particularly enjoys Weddings, family occasions, dinner dances, pubs and clubs, as there are such a variety of people usually there.

"The hardest part of entertaining is reaching everyone in your audience, not just particular groups. That's why I think I have been so successful. If you have a room full of thirty something's, you can rest assured that 80's music is going to go down well. That's how I gear my shows. There isn't a set pattern, I just make it up as I go along, singing the songs that people want to hear rather than what I want them to hear."

"Weddings are a bit trickier as there are young and old. So I do swing stuff as well as 60's, 70's etc and the great thing is that all the young ones know them too and happily sing along."

"Overall, I'm not just your two 45 minute sets and I'm gone type of act. I know if I booked someone for a function and they did two sets and left, I wouldn't be very happy. I really love doing this and I will go on as long as licensing laws permit and it's not uncommon to see me singing for and hour and half just for my first set.
That way audiences can always be assured of great value. I can do disco too, as there will always be songs I cant do and I do need a short break once in a while."

As well as a massive repertoire of songs, Martin boasts an impressive lighting rig that he uses for big gigs that really makes for a good atmosphere, whatever the venue.
